The color range corresponds to an expanded version of Goethe's "Color Theory". Each shade is tailored to blend well with others. Using the "wet-wet" technique, harmonious intermediate gradation and borderless color mixing are also possible. Stockmar watercolors have been tested in art education, school and kindergarten.
