For the 60th year, farmers all over the world have received the "Maria Tūnas biodynamic agriculture" calendar. It is translated into 18 languages, and Latvian readers will receive it for the seventh time in 2021.
The sad news received in the summer of 2020 about the sudden passing of Matias Túna has not stopped the work started by the Túna family, and his children, Marija Túna's grandchildren, Titija and Friedrich, have decided to continue the experiments in the garden using biodynamic methods, as well as to reflect their work in the calendar, giving the opportunity for farmers all over the world to work productively, following the order of the universe and preserving the health of the Earth and all living things.
Each page covers two weeks, allowing you to quickly and accurately find advice on when to sow, plant and care for your plants so they grow healthy and give you a bountiful harvest.
This year, the topics discussed in more detail in the calendar:
- biodynamic preparations,
- forest, trees and planets,
- bee care and bee pest control,
- tree paste recipe,
- Sun exposure throughout the year.
Again this year, the calendar includes charts of the Moon's course and an A3 insert for quick reference of favorable planetary aspects for various gardening tasks, which you can pin to the wall of the kitchen, barn or greenhouse.
